Default Battlefield 3 Performance and Settings

    Hello all

Just wanted to find out what performance you guys are getting from your rigs and what settings you are using?(also give some details of your rig please) I just found it interesting that my rig is klapping this game. I am running everything on Ultra at 1920x1080, 4xAA and i am getting about 70-80 FPS. I just thought that the requirements would be more from what i heard. Almost bought another GTX580 as a result. Lucky i didn't.

I have a very modest PC, but here's my experince.

    I play high settings, 1080p, no AA. I get a solid 30 - 50fps.

    Rig Specs:
    AMD Athlon II X4 @ 3Ghz
    3GB DDRII 800 RAM
    Radeon HD 5770

I'd say I'm quite happy with the performance, it's not a blistering 60fps but the game is smooth and looks great.

Im running the game on Ultra @ 1080p with +-60FPS.

    Runs smoothly and looks beautiful

Rig: i7 950, 6gig of DDRIII Corsair Dominator and a nVidia GTX 580 (No Sli) and OCZ SSD.

I have a Intel Core2Duo 3.0GHz, GTX260 and 4GB of RAM. I can play all my games as 1080p and would love to see this how this handles on my rig.

Running it on HIGH, everything on (just left it all and let the game decide.) Runs super smooth no issues, tears or jaggies

i5 2500k, 8 gig ram, msi 6870 hawk. All running non OC. Res is as high as my screen can go (1600x1050).

Running my game on High settings at 1920x1200. I get around 55-60fps on average. The game actually runs very well, when running on Ultra the fps tends to drop down to around 40-45fps which is not ideal for multiplayer for me, although turning off the 4xMSAA does help considerably.

i7 860 @2.8ghz | 8Gb DDR3, MSI Radeon HD6970 and running at 1920x1200. All components are running at stock clocks and voltages. Quite happy with the performance.

I agree. If you drop the AA to x2 or off then the performance jump a lot. about 10 or 20 fps.

    Core i5 760 GTX 560 8GB DDR3
Running it on High w/ HBOA off (seems like it just sharpens some shadows) 40fps on large conquest maps and 50-70fps on smaller maps.

I have to say that using AA at 1080p or higher is almost pointless. While I was playing the other night, my brother asked me if I had AA turned on which I didn't. The engine really isn't very full of jaggies tbh.
