I've played the first 3 missions so far (plus prologue). You definitely notice how good the game looks a lot more in SP. I enjoyed the aerial combat, it felt authentic. The problem with the first mission was I'd seen it all before in the gameplay trailers leading up to the game. It's not ground breaking but I'm enjoying it.

Speaking for my reviews, and I'm sure most of the MG reviews at that, the overall score is usually not an average score of the separate parts: it's a combination of each score plus an overall 'tilt' value, an addition (or subtraction) of points that reflects the overall package of the game.

Also, we have to factor in more than just the hard numbers e.g. the 'graphics' score usually reflects the technical quality of the visuals, but points might be subtracted from the overall score if, for example, the art direction is horrendous, there are clipping issues, etc.

For me, the final score is how I feel about the game overall; as Tarryn says, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

This is hardly news. It isn't made to be the most mind boggling SP game. The single player aspect is like a free extra for purchasing the MP Game. I'm sure it is more than a little fun, but like BFBC2 SP, nothing worthy of talking about. I am sure I will play it when I get it and enjoy it anyway
