I suppose its a good thing that we know they working on it post-release...but still pretty annoying!

Hmmm, I'm sure it helps to combat piracy if there are bugs that need fixing in the retail version of the game, BUT maybe I'm being cynical. Maybe, they genuinely found bugs after the retail copies were printed and they are going to patch the errors they made. Doesn't bother me really. Should only really aggravate people with capped internet 'solutions', I feel for you; and the people who steal the game...

I tend to agree with you on the piracy thing considering their game got pirated already:P What a great way to mess the pirates around

    You mean, pre-release?

I don't mind. Patch, patch, patch. The fewer bugs and issues I encounter the happier I'll be

True that! :P hahaha...These developers are really getting ahead of themselves!

Can't you just get a new crack for the updated patch?

Meh. With my internet not being the fastest, I can imagine this will be slightly irritatus. However, I could always download it in the background while I play

Er... Don't think you'll be able to do that. It's a Steamworks game.

It seems to be the trend now days to have a day 1 patch.
Its a bit of a stupid way to try fight piracy
but i f they legitamitly found bugs then good on them for trying to improve the game as quickly as possible.
And not waiting a few weeks to patch it.

Hmm, I highly doubt this is an anti-piracy measure.

More likely is that they really wanted to stick to their release date. It takes time for a game to go gold. They have to burn it to the media. print boxes. ship to stores. etc. So they send the game to the burners and continue to work on it and then day 1 patch it. Really just hope it was mostly finished before they sent it, because if they're racing to put the finishing touches on then it could result in a rather buggy experience. Most of the day 0 patches this year haven't been exactly all that fantastic. If i was them I would just pushed the release up to end November (which magically coincides with my end of exams LOL) :-D
