LA Noire on PC is locked to 30 frames per second

this is quite the shamfur dispray; I personally get a warm, fuzzy feeling when I notice that my machine is running a game at 60+fps; which isn't as often as I'd like anymore ;_; I'm looking at you Frostbite engine.

I know its wrong, bit I just get a smirk when I think how all my console bashing mates will react

I don't see any need to play with more than 30 fps anyways. I can't see the difference and it most certainly does not lag.

For me PC gaming needs at least 40fps, yes you can say what is 10fps but playing only PC games you feel and see the difference immediately. Really hope they will fix it but not even sure whether I'll buy this as there is so many awesome games coming out.

This game bothers me very little to begin with, but more-over:
This game's GENRE does not need more than 30fps.
Ever.

Its not an fps, action or platforming game where performance actually matters somewhat.

Really don't see what all the bunched-up panties would be about...

Not ideal but not something to get annoyed over. These ports can suffer from far worse symptoms of consolitis

Then you have not played something that actually needs 60FPS like for example Dante's Inferno, the dev's themselves showed and explained how massive impact 30 to 60 FPS had on the fighting itself.
PC gamers overreact as much as MW3/BF3 fanboys.
how enlightening

:edit
this must be part of the games for dumb people where action is slow-i-fied so they can cope with the fast action :p

Just because you can't see it doesn't mean you can't feel it. A game running at 30fps will have noticeable input lag when compared to a game running at 60fps. I think it disconnects the player from the game in some ways.

Either way I won't pay full price for L.A Noire. RDR was the game all PC gamers were waiting for, not this.

If you can't see the difference between 30 and 60fps then clearly you are legally blind and should not be allowed walk in the streets, drive a car or play games.

If the camera is locked on to one spot at 30fps then its fine, but the moment the camera starts to move at that frame rate I can see how the game stutters and it makes me want to cry. Console ports should just be sent to dedicated cyber recycle bin already.

There is a very distinct difference in feel between playing a game at 30fps and 60fps, animations, movement and responsive are all much smoother. Just because it may not be as significant an impact to LA Noire's game play as it would be to an FPS game doesn't mean it's not there.

Not to mention having this nice powerful PC and waiting 6months for the PC version only to have it artificially crippled to 30fps by lazy devs.

Highlighted is the key of the whole thing imo.
COD, or BF locked to 30fps = crime against humanity.
Skyrim etc locked to 30fps = somebody's gonna be lynched.

Stopframe puzzle story game like LA Noire or Heavy Rain locked to 30fps = i mean really, who the fark cares?!

But yeah, lets pretend that playing solitaire at 60fps instead of 30fps makes a huge difference.
