Not here but in the US the digital download services have already taken over the pc market.

I personally also like to have a physical copy but if I can't get it then a digital copy is fine with me. The likes of steam and empulse offer a much wider range than any of the retail stores.

I think it a matter of choice most people pretty much prefer hard copy to a digital version... hard copy you know you have it, digital things can go wrong... Not saying it aint a good idea just not one that would work here anyway.

SA, seacom has come and yet nothing has changed so steam will come and nothing will change... Not becuase we dont want to change its becuase we not allowed to. So maybe 2050 (if the world doesnt ended by 2012, LOL)... Or maybe sooner never know our telecoms might just evolve.

Got to agree with the bandwith thing, I have only ever done it once and it cost me about R500 extra at Telkom, at the end of the month (12gb download)
