Final Fantasy 15 might be heading to Action-RPG land

Because that’s all the rage nowadays

will be interesting to see how it turns out, i haven't played FF 13 yet cos i only got a PS3 a month ago but that is one of the first games on my list when i get some cash, gotta get it before the sequel is out. I have seen it on a buds xbox and i must say it looks pretty good but havent had a feel of the game engine just yet. I am also a hardcore final fantasy fanboi, one of the best gaming series ever made (what got me into RPG's in the first place).

I don't mind a new direction.
Turn-based was the bread and butter of that era. It's fallen heavily out of favor and I understand why they NEED to do this.

But at the same time... they need to now hold on to the original story values of the first games so much harder.
Just remember Squeenix... FF7 had 100's of hours of play-time for a single playthrough... Not 3 hours like you did with FF13.

Indeed. was FF13 really that short my personal favourite game was FFX which had more than 300 hours for a single playthrough. I'm also keen on a new direction but yes the story lines must be long and take me weeks to get through.

If I remember correctly it took me around 60 hours to complete FFXIII.

I'm still waiting for FF Versus to be released...
