In VIII I have defeated Omega but after multiple times of trying. I just got lucky and got Lion Heart every time Squall attacked It helps getting all the cards and then changing them into items.
the ff7 advent children movie is just as epic as the game

Omega Was actually a bit of a bitch IMO the Trick is the Following: Cast Triple, then haste, the aura, then with Rinoa (bleh for her and her crappy weapon) cast Invincible Moon, the Limit break The sorry SoB and bob's your uncle. Got all the Final weapons so it was a cinch

Did FF IX have any strong monsters like Ruby, Emerald or Omega weapon?
I never owned the game, and just borrowed a mate's to complete.
Wish I had more time to play that one as in depth as I did with VII and VIII.

    Heh... Small world.

FFX and X2 were, as far as I'm concerned, the worst possible FF-based games ever. I loved ye olde SNES FF games. I remember FFVI, was such a tear-jerker, then again, each was, in its own right I own FFVIII for the PC, never played VII, since I could never find the PC-version (yes, yes, I know).

I had a PS2 a few years back, ironically just bought it for the likes of Suikoden, FF, Shadow Hearts, Star Ocean and the like (JRPGs, basically). FFXII wasn't bad, it was very, very different from the FFs that I grew up loving though. Never finished it.

FF XIII really looks gorgeous though. Would like to get my hands on it

    And no, I don't own a console
