Default Del Toro wants a game, not cutscenes

Guillermo Del Toro really hates cutscenes

Insane creator says “F*** you, I want a game.”

Some cutscenes in certain games, used in certain ways = nice. MGS4 is the perfect example.

Other games though, cutscenes are just obnoxious and serve no purpose to the game itself. I'm still too borked over by the anesthesia to think straight but I'm sure there is a metric shitton of examples...

I have to completely disagree with you. IMO MGS4 is the perfect example of how cut-scenes should NOT be done. If I wanted to watch a movie I would have rented one, not bought a game.

Uncharted (all of them) is how it should be done.
