I have a LOTRO lifetime subscription, one of the better risks I took as I have been playing for free for about 6 months already.
But I would caution against unproven IP's as they might fail. However even if something lasts for only 2 years and you constantly enjoy the game in the end it would be worth it.
If LOTRO last another 5 years I will be one of the happiest chappies alive as I would of saved a crap-load full of cash.
What u saying is very ture, we would save significantly if floated. But i feel that once a MMO hits and its makes it big the chances of them actually having a life-time membership reduces coz then they loose money. With a new MMO i would avoid it, but like u said, it worked for LOTRO so who knows.Originally Posted by Nictron
