I think mobile games are just that, mobile games. Just like console gaming, they've developed their own sort of genre, their own way of playing the game. I don't think that you can say that it will take over console gaming, but it will co-exist as it is doing now.
Watch my latest video on YouTube, all about a Portal 2 turret! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFpwGxsRAt0
I agree with the fact that mobile gaming will grow a lot in the future but is completely different to the console. yes, when you don't have access to your console you can take out your mobile device and play games but when you at home you would want to play on your huge ass TV with you uber surround sound because its a way better experience than playing on any mobile device. So mobile gaming is the future.........agreed, consoles are doomed..........strongly disagree. Long live the console![]()
This guy has the clap or something if he think's people are actually going to buy into his self preserving ideas.
Consoles vs mobiles is like comparing apples and tomatoes. I have an iPhone and it doesn't compare in the least with my console, the experience just doesn't measure up. And its not about the graphics or processing, I think mashing your finger on a tiny screan just isn't the same as sitting in a cumfy chair with a big screen and proper controls.
Nothing is permitted, everything is true.
Lol!
Indeed!.
Its always only OK as long as it swings in their favor...
No platform is better or worse than another by concept. The end.
But I am inclined to agree with the dude in the article. Mobile gaming WILL take over consoles. And not long after that it will do the same to PC.
After-all... isn't it all of our dreams to be wearing a mainframe in our pocket with complete mind control and optical implant feedback?
Yeah.
But I don't think these sorts of things will be mainstream in my lifetime...
I suppose in 10 years from now there will be 3 types of fanboys...
I think there will always be people who prefer each varient of gaming platform and have stupid arguements about who's is the biggest and all that crap.
I have my preferences like everyone else and I don't think I'll ever be a fan of mobile gaming.
That's probably because the type of games I enjoy are best suited for my preferred platform, consoles. Just like most FPS fans prefer the PC and most dumbasses who think they look cool with a phone in their hand and their pants hanging on for dear life on the asscrack in public enjoy mobile.
Nothing is permitted, everything is true.
This will only happen if console gamers want to change to different platforms. Will have to wait and see but i doubt it will fade out
