    Default Everquest (Not EQ2)

Well, sitting here reading the latest WoW patch notes and I was considering whether I should roll that last toon or not(I always wanted a gnome rogue for some reason). I decided to pass and keep my account inactive for a while and try something different to compliment EVE online and my Xbox (I laugh when I say that in Afrikaans)

So I got to thinking and I recalled that a few old mates still play Everquest and I thought why not! They've updated the gfx (prolly still dated tho), changed the levelling grind (faster xp gains but not too fast as I understand it) and ... I always wanted to play a Monk! (*makes wakka wakka hand chops through the air!*)

To get to the point, I am looking for either:
    1) SoD client
    2) If someone could cut a copy of their EQ directory
    3) Someone point me to a local server where I could possibly d/l this.

The problem is the latest expansion (Seeds of Destruction) is around 5gigs as it includes all the previous exansions (afaik) which is kinda heavy on international cap.

Any help, advice, is appreciated. Thanks

I downloaded the trial, which was like 250-400Mb from what I can remember.

In this day and age, despite the graphics update, it leaves a lot to be desired. That's not the reason why I didn't stay, though. It just felt very dated interface-wise etc. I've gotten accustomed to interfaces that flow and work very well, but in Everquest everything feels unnecessarily harder to do. From the way you interact with NPC's to the way you manage your inventory.

Yup, the interface is harsh but I spent many a year on this game and it does lend itself to a more mature audience (ja, ou toppies like me). I just want a change from the norm, something different from WoW, AoC, Warhammer (They are all similar in style per me) and it will be nice to go back to one of the grand daddys of MMO's.

Jase if you manage to track down anything could you PM me. I would also be pretty keen to play to be honest for the exact reasons you mentioned.

I'll prolly just take the hit on my bandwidth when I get home. I do have a sealed copy of the previous expansion, Secrets of Faydwer, but apparently the patcher does not seem to recognise it and it d/ls the entire SoD (including the previous expansions).
