Also doesn't help if telkom can't fix the noise on your dsl line for over two months :/

Do you have problems all the time or intermittently with this?

Surely there is some benefit through open peering.

This is the biggest point that currently hounds the higher speed installations. Due to bad quality lines you may qualify for 10mb but end up only getting 3mb tops. I really hope that they find a working solution for this and soon! Also, upgrade the rest of the exchanges please!

All the time. Telkom's even acknowleged the fault - and located it to the cable between my house and the nearest box. Just scheduling someone from Telkom to actually fix it (i.e. replace the cable) is harder than spotting an ant on the ground while flying at 30000 feet with the naked eye.

I remember getting a new copper line installed from the nearest box to my residence, took 18months of begging / swearing / giving up / starting over / more swearing. Just to lay a 10m cable... The problem is that it gets outsourced to the cheapest contractor, so someone has to get quotes and then someone else has to approve it and for some reason this is just too darn difficult to manage properly.
