Im thinking the same thing, ShadowRun
tried Cross Platform between PC and Xbox but it didn't work out.
I am of the same opinion that you, although the PS3 version can be played with PS3 compatible Mouse & Keyboard but still.
But if anybody can do it Valve can.
Does anyone think the PS3 owners will get destroyed playing against PC opponents? Wasn't that the reason why Microsoft abandoned cross platform play for FPS games on the Xbox360?
I think the reason has something to do with Lag as far as I remember, console players got owned due to this lag issue. But It has to be said ShadowRun was a 2007 game. We've come along way since 2007, the console FPS has grown alot and like I said if anyone can do it Valve can. We will have to wait and see.
Tracked down THIS a video review of Shadowrun by Gametrailers. From what I can gather the issue wasn't so much balancing, as I thought, instead it was purely due to the pc version forcing players to upgrade to Vista (sick) as well as a monthly chargeinorder to play cross platform.
The reviewer also critisiced lack of content. Will dig a little deeper and see if I can find a post-mortem of coulomb on the subject.
Edit: Found THIS Article on PC world.
It would appear we will have to wait and see what valve manages to pull out of the hat.
