    The Wolf Among Us

Absolutely loved this game - although it does stretch the meaning of the word game sometimes as there is a great deal of watching stuff happen but that aside, what an awesome experience.

As some have commented it's not so much about game changing choices that completely alter the outcomes but rather the question of how you get to the end - as the Big Bad Bully or the once bad guy who's trying to change.

The voice acting is impeccable, the characters are wholly believable and you certainly build a connection with them. The story hooked me to the end.

    Verdict: Highly Recommended

I thought of playing Dwarf Fortress but decided to try something easier first and was lucky that Gnomoria went on special that same day. It was the perfect stepping stone and I really look forward now to playing Dwarf Fortress.

Gnomoria is a sandbox village management game and is supposedly very similar to the game Towns that was abandoned by the developer. Both games are based on Dwarf Fortress but lack the complexity. And strangely enough it was that complexity that I feel was lacking in Gnomoria. Everything just feels a bit basic and besides building up a town and getting all the necessities created it just felt like there wasn't really a lot to do.

Something that it excels at though is to just let the game run while you browse the internet and then just keep an eye on your gnomes every now and then while they follow your instructions. I only realised this when I was already tired of the game though but I can see myself playing the game again in the future and then maybe build up something majestic. Something Minecraft inspired maybe.

My hype for this game was through the roof, and I was not disappointed at all. Incredible, near photo-realistic graphics, an engrossing storyline and incredible performances from all the Hollywood actors involved. This is one of the best PS4 exclusives, if not the best, to release so far in my opinion. The characters, although horror cliches, are really well written and the tension in trying to keep your favourites alive is really well handled. It's 'interactive-movie' gameplay may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you even slightly enjoyed Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls (or Telltale's Walking Dead series), or if you love horror films, you will love this. I really feel this should have a place in every PS4 owner's collection and Supermassive Games really deserves success. It's an exciting breath of fresh air among the hordes of very similar open-world RPG's and TPS's and I would recommend it to everyone.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare (PS4) 7/10 - Story was good, I did enjoy the exo-suit combat and abilities and the new weapons. However the same old Call of Duty was lurking underneath a fresh coat of paint.

    The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt (PS4)

One of the best games I've played this year. After struggling with the Witcher 1 all those years back on PC, I thought I might struggle with this one, but the game guides you nicely in the beginning. Still died quite a few times getting used to the combat mechanics, but all in all it was an enjoyable experience. Made me think twice about how to enter certain fights, applying the correct oils are equipping the correct bombs or signs. Graphics wise I was quite impressed with the big open world, though at times I did experience some graphical glitches and slowdown, be it only for a second or two. Audio wise I was quite impressed with it, as stepping in water you could clearly hear the splash, or the thunder and lightning during storms rumbling all around you.

Not knowing much about the two previous games, I did not feel out of my depth regarding the story. Lots of books to read and collect for those who like that kind of thing and catching up with the Witcher lore. The characters was also mostly well done and presented, and the game even lets you choose your path regarding your love life.

There is so much to do in this game. Secondary quests and Witcher contracts kept me busy quite a bit, and travelling the world in between the main story quests I sometimes just stopped to see the detail put into this game. Near the end though the secondary quests did start to feel a bit "been there, done that" though. Still a few quests and so that I can do to boost my trophy progression, but after completing the game last night, I don't particularly feel I want to complete those. As I understand, the game has more than one ending, dependant on your choices through your playthrough. Seems I got the happy ending, so I'm chuffed with myself.

All in all, a solid 9/10. Will defs watch out for the next instalment. Game kept me busy for about 60-65 hours for a 68% completion rate, though doing everything I can see this game taking up 100+ hours.

    King's Quest Episode 1

Well well well. What a big surprise this is! I read the reviews and saw that people loved it but I was skeptical. Now that I've played it, I have to say that it's a great game!

I grew up on adventure games, including the Kings Quest games and this game is very very different from that. Still it's a pure adventure game and one of the better ones out there. The story telling is outstanding. The puzzles are well thought out and the game is so polished and looks like something the developers put a lot of love in.

I can't wait to play the rest of the episodes!

PC, though I must say it will play better with a gamepad than with a keyboard and mouse so it will be perfect on the console.

    The Order 1886 - 7/10

Recently played finished this game, and went into it not expecting much after reading a view reviews.

Visually this game is stunning, with some of the best graphics I have seen on console. Sometimes I could not distinguish between actual game play and the cut scenes.

Story wise it kept me interested, and the ending left it a bit open for me, and I'm hoping I will see more of this sometime in the not too distant future.

Gameplay was solid, if a bit slow at times. Wide variety of weapons at your disposal, with my favourite being the crossbow and the M2 Falchion. A few QTE's that they could have implemented better though. Very linear, with few alternative paths to your objective.

Not much replay value in this title though, and I completed it in about two days, give or take 9 hours or so to platinum.
