When I saw this game in a Humble Bundle I had to get it. It's been on my wishlist for a long time and I've always enjoyed 4x games so it was a gift from heaven. Now that I've actually played it I'm a bit disappointed. It's not a bad game. But I've played better 4x games before so this one is decidedly average.
The biggest disappointment for me is that most of the time you would just go through a list of what your planets must produce and then click next turn. Battles are uninteresting so you'll almost always click on the auto button. So there really isn't that much to the game.
In the beginning it all looks and feels very complicated but you quickly come to realise that it's actually quite simple.
It really lacks character for lack of a word.
But then it is rather addictive... for a while.
