Batman Arkham Knight (PS4)

A good end to the trilogy. Loved how the brought the Joker back into it, very well written. Being a bit of a Batman geek I kinda clicked who the Knight was about midway through the game, but even then the revelation was well done.

Gameplay wise, the introduction of the batmobile and tank battles took me a few tries to get used to. Combat felt smooth and responsive, and with the enemy adapting to the way you play, in some scenarios I got my ass handed to me. Moving around the map was also relatively easy and fast, especially once upgraded.

Graphics was very good, though for some reason I did expect better. I did not experience any stutter or lag that I could notice. Sound was well reproduced and with my sound setup it was very immersive.

Achievements were quite fun to try for the most part, for example taking down cars, or gliding for 400m while 20m or less from the street. Though I did not go for the platinum on this one, I will keep my save file. Maybe something I'd try for one day when I have no other games to play. Managed a 96% completion rate, only leaving out the Riddler challenges as I found those to be quite a grind, except for the Catwoman Riddler challenges which weren't too bad.

Ending wise (there are two), it is left a bit open, so one can not help but wonder where they might take that.

All in all, a solid 9/10 and along with the Witcher 3, my top two games for this year (so far).
