There lies your problem. Darksiders is not about the combat. It's about exploring a beautifully crafted world and discovering a conspiracy behind what caused the apocalypse. Also, puzzles and a few pretty cool boss fights. I like to see Darksiders as a cross between a God of War type game and a Legend of Zelda type game. If you're looking for something with a decent combat system I would suggest something along the lines of inFAMOUS, [PROTOTYPE], Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, God of War, etc. Or, if you really feel like a challange, get the game(s) with probably the best combat system in the business: Demon's Souls or Dark Souls.
