Silent Hill 2 is a game that will always have a special place in my heart. Silent Hill 1 and 3 were both good and Silent Hill 4 and 5 were average games. It really looked like things were going downhill. However, I'm pleasantly surprised with Silent Hill Downpour. Especially after the bad IGN review. Looking at Metacritic, Silent Hill Downpour got good reviews just about everywhere except at IGN.
Silent Hill Downpour feels a lot like an Alan Wake game in the beginning but when you finally enter the town of Silent Hill then it really gets that Silent Hill feel that is so unique to the series. I'm not going to describe the whole game but I enjoyed it a lot. The game has its problems, the biggest being that the game isn't scary at all. Otherwise it had a good story and lots of atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend it to Silent Hill fans.
