I bought this game without playing the first one, but I still managed to find the gameplay some what enjoyable. The enemy A.I was poor though and the graphics are "meh". I did not understand the story (those Russian names), but I guess it's my fault for not playing Metro 2033. Still, a good survival game and Lord knows I needed one. The A.I, voice acting and plot affect the experience in a negative way.
