I never played 1, however I did play 2 -4 and loved them all. Will certainly give this a look when it is released. I do hope it will include some the levels from the later games as well though, Alcatraz from THPS4 was awesome.

I remember this trying to get as much air as possible to do some interestingly insane tricks you knew no real skater could ever pull off that was fun... After two the series just went down hill... Think thats about when i stopped.

Haha, that was a poor attempt to try and made a Tony Hawk game...

I like the controls of Skate, because it's interesting but I am not very consistent with them. The Tony Hawk, Mat Hofman games all had the same basic control idea which mean you could easily own in MH if you knew TH.

THPS and Skate are two completely different takes on the same genre and can't really be compared.

Thank goodness Tony has realised this and opted to stick to what made his games awesome in the first place instead of going for the whole uber-realism vibe.

I'm really looking forward to this. Tony Hawk 1-3 were some of my favorite games back in the day. If they can capture the spirit of those titles with some nicely redone graphics then I'm all for it.
