Heh. I usually can't stand it when people get precious about genres (and metalheads are particularly egregious offenders in this category), but I really have to disagree with you here. I've been a metalhead for over 17 years now - I listen to all kinds of metal, from old school and black metal to grind, doom, melodic death, folk, thrash, and almost everything in between.

And really, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden sound totally different. Where Motley Crue, for example, was very glam-inspired, Iron Maiden (as well as most of the NWOBHM bands) had their roots very much in harder punk rock. In fact, the first two Maiden albums are decidedly punkish in character.

Maybe it's something only a metalhead can appreciate, though, I don't know. But to me, it's just incredible that anyone would think they sound similar. But then, I suppose I think all dance music sounds the same. Rave, techno, hard house, or whatever. It all sounds like shit. :P

    Think of it so:

You hate Pop music right? Now, if someone had to say to you "Oh did you hear the new Whatever by PieceofCrap" your response would be (either in your head or to the Pop loving idjit) "It all sounds the same to me" or something along those lines. That's what I mean by what I said. I only separate the music I listen to and enjoy ..... that which I don't enjoy, not so much.

Nah, I wouldn't say I hate pop music. Most of the stuff on the radio these days is rubbish, but I'm still quite a fan of 80s and early 90s pop music - stuff like A-Ha, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, even Roxette.

I'm a musician myself, so I suppose I'm quite open minded.

Yeah this title for its metal content alone is an insta-buy for me.

I am not particular fan of the more oldschool metal, but I can still appreciate it. The visual themes in this game also just reeeally appeal to me after watching the game vids.
