I agree though, it'd be quite tricky to pull a Superman game off. JLA, like Syco said, would be loads of fun IMO, and bring the relatively unknown DC team to the spotlight a bit.

As a Kryptonian, Superman's alien genetic material enables him to absorb sunlight and perform superhuman feats. Superman survived his death by entering into a hibernation-like state, and the Eradicator's use of him as a "conduit" by which he could absorb solar energy "restarted" Superman's body (Although sources such as Professor Hamilton and Batman have noted that available evidence suggests that the remaining solar energy reserves in Superman's body when he died would have actually "run down" before the Eradicator took his body, suggesting that other factors may have contributed to his resurrection).

How the hell is the JLA an unknown team?

Before the Avengers movie was announced, how many of the team could you name? (those in the movie aren't even the ones from the original). 9/10 more people would be able to name more league members than Avengers.

Also there was an awesome JLA game on PS2.

For comic nerds JLA is common Knowledge, for some random dude on the street they are about as well known as Todd Howard, Ken Livine, How to throw a Haidoken or the 30X 1up mario trick. Like Avatar said, Relative.

Yeah I know, just as I understand it with my limited comics meta-knowledge it took quiet a bit of doing. That removes any risk from the game. I mean u cant give every thug a gun that fires Kryptonite bullets now can u? Also unless the environment needs to be fully destructive otherwise the player is never going to feel "Super".

Also IMO Superman is to straight forward a character for a good game narrative. The Big blue boyscout pales in comparison to the personal issues of the dark knight, or Spiderman.

I decent Watchmen game, now that I want to play.

I agree... BUT Superman is one of my favourites so would eventually like to see it done and done right. I have no idea though how that would be done. I suppose his challenges would be much bigger and the "focus" (not the right word, but not sure what to use) would shift from preventing from dying himself to preventing someone else from dying or preventing an event from happening.
But again, I have no idea how they'll be able to successfully make the game. They have enough trouble just making the movies.

As for Batman, both games were great and Jokes is by far my favourite villain. Not sure how they'd proceed with a 3rd game.

From what i remember from superman the cartoons and the series and the movies including the bad ones, Superman although being superhuman has some draw backs, besides krytonite. His energy is derived from the sun, and if i recall the was one episode of Louis and Clark: The Series where when he fought underground he was unable to recover cause the was no direct sunlight... \my memory could be sketchy. As also Red krytonite didnt help him either as it over boosted his powers for a extended duration of time, which made him a bit of a threat.

And its true you cant give every bad guy a gun filled with Krytonite, it wouldnt make any sense at all, but you could possibly hide shards of the alien planet on the earth. This Game definitely need to be sandbox a linear game would make it uninteresting... But i guess making a superman game has to many finite details that need to be ironed out.

Now back to topic, Batman Arkhan City awesome as it ease cant transition in to Gotham city or world just yet, they should really comeback to this in a year or so so the can develop the game better and not give us a rushed work that has the same glam as the previous but no interest in the story... It wont be fun at all.
