Ok, so races rather than classes, but different races will be better at some skills than others and have different perks. I just always have massive indecisiveness when I have to pick. You haven't played the game yet so you don't know what will be the best. Very stressful. It's the thing of one choice right at the beginning a game affecting the whole experience.
Maybe it's not such a big deal in Skyrim. I haven't played it yet, so I don't know.
Take Diablo II for example. I played that through with a few different classes, and I found that although say the Necromancer guy was great when there were swarms of small enemies, he struggled with the bosses, and while the paladin wasn't so lekker against the swarms, the bosses went down without him breaking a sweat.
Also, by the sound of Skyrim, it'll take so long to finish with one character, what's the chances of playing it through with a few different characters.
