Exclamation AMD 7970 Official Specs and Pricing and Pics

Well the wait is finally over and the official specs, pricing and pics have been revealed.

    Official Reference design:

    Cooling vapor chamber:

The one thing I was waiting for was a comparison between the 6970 and the 7970:

    That's a huge step up

    The price:

    The Final MSRP is $549
Not to bad, but expect the card to retail for around R5500 when it lands in SA.

    Nu uh

You'll be able to pick up another 6970 for a lot less as soon as these become available mate. 2x 6970's will still eat a single 7970 alive. Also a huge price difference between the 2 cards.

No benches as of yet, will post benches as soon as they are available.

I sold both my 6970's and now I am regretting it lol xD The new card is awesome and has some truly awesome specs, but that price is crap. I got R5600 for my 2x 6970's...So I can pretty much buy a single 7970 and it'll be slower than the cf setup I had lol Meh xD Its ok though, I'll buy a 7990 in March and then run tri fire with the 7970 + 7990.
