    Default Need new Headsets

I just came back from holiday, only to find that my 5 year old R50 earphones have finally given in. After 5 years of unbelievably good performance, I need an upgrade.

    Here's what I'm looking for:

Something that's not expensive, it's for work only, to listen to music.
I want nice bass, as most of the metal I listen to demands this.
Sound quality needs to be good, but it doesn't have to be great.
I'd say my budget is about R300 tops.

That's about it, think you guys can help me out by linking some good items you know about? Or any recommendations?

Well for something on the cheap side my gf got me a set of these for Christmas
    http://www.comstarsa.co.za/brands/xgr/xgr_xhs-008.html
Very comfortable, fits nicely over the ears to avoid outside noise, good audio quality and for under R150 its quite a sweet deal for something just for music etc.
contact me if you are in Cape Town and looking for PC Hardware at very competitive pricing. We also do web and graphic design.

I'm really not a XGR fan. Also the earphones shouldn't be too big, due to the fact that sometimes clients do walk into my office and I need to look a little decent at least. I'll search the logitech's up quick and see what I can find. Any other nice sets you guys can think of?

The logitech G 330 are a bit too expensive at R500 a pop.

Wouldn't it be best then to get in ear type headsets like the skull candys?

No I hate in ear sets. They hurt my ears. I'm trying out a set of logitechs now and they are okay, but they are soft. I want more volume and bass!

For R300 your not going to get much. Id really recommend adding in a extra R100 or so and get the entry level sennys or a good gaming headset .

    This man speaks the truth.

I'm in the industry myself, and what I recommended is probably your best bet. I was thinking of getting a pair myself as well.

I found a pair of Sennheissers (not sure how you spell it) for r300 bucks at the mall. Been on the look out for them for a while now. I think they are the tour 2 set.

My job as it is if you describe your requirements i would have told you Coolermaster Sirus like i own but then you say R300 and im a bit stumped. Logitech G330's are decent and like Cranky says extry couple of R you can get some high quality entry lvl Stereo headsets.
