    I don't disagree, It doesn't mean I am not gonna end up buying a FX8170 as soon as it becomes available.
    Its got nothing to do with benchmarks for me, I already own 4 maxed out Sandy Bridge rigs, If I wanna benchmark I'll use those. I am only buying it for one reason and one reason alone, to pop into my Asus Crosshair V and use it for gaming.

    BD still has potential

    alot of people go immediatly for the fact that it didn't live up to marketing hype

    give the architecture a chance to mature and develop further before writing it off entirely

    i'm not saying it'll beat intel but who knows, might give em a go.

    It does. But Bulldozer itself is rubbish. Maybe piledriver wi be a little better with thr aid of not using Global foundries anymore.
