IP = Intellectual Property. So Mass Effect is a BioWare IP or Skyrim a Bethesda IP. A New IP is a new series or title not a sequel.

Aah ok, because saying "new game" or "new title" is sooo 2011

Its not a new game yet or a new title, its an IP. It portably only exists in the form of a design doc, concept art or maybe a prototype demo somewhere.

Oh, thanks for summing it up so well! Will the new Tomb Raider be single player only?

How would you play it co-op or multiplayer? Unless the devs are idiots it will be singleplayer only. Since it focuses on Lara surviving alone. Would kind of defy the point if she has someone who's shoulder she could cry on.

I know, I've played the Tomb Raider games and understand it completely. It's just that lots of games these days have multiplayer, and I want to know if a game with only a campaign will be cheaper than, say, Modern Warfare 3. Not that I'm comparing it to Tomb Raider.

Well Crystal Dynamics fall under Square Enix which didn't push Edios Montreal to include MP in Deus Ex I dont think they would.
