Default Blackberry torch ringtone speaker distortion

    Hi guys and girls,

I am really running out of ideas with this phone. I have a Blackberry Torch and have had no problems what so ever up till now. All the tones that I have set for ringtones, sms, email, BBM ect all sound VERY distorted and very bad quality all of a sudden, yet when I go into the media player and play the same tunes/songs/mp3 they sound perfect! I have had the phone for a couple months now on contract I am just dreading the hassle of sitting without a phone for a couple of weeks for them to sort it out. Is there someone that has a similar problem or issue that has managed to fix the problem without sending it in please let me know otherwise I think I will have to take it back to MTN and sit without a phone for a couple weeks.

    Thanking everyone in advance...

Check maybe the volume of the ring quality on your phone, it may be too high.

EDIT: Also if that doesn't help, your speaker could be blown...

That is what I am afraid of.. Just a quick, maybe stupid question does the Torch have 2 separate speakers, 1 for media player and the other for ringtones??

hahahahaha... no worries mate, just try turning down your ring volume. You obviously must've reset it when you pulled the battery out.
