I've been playing a lot this past holiday with my mates, it's completely different to the days when I used to play on my own.
If you're having trouble finding a social guild just look for the ones that regularly run events pvp/raids/dungeons/fun things. A guild with a level 25 and and 900+ chars isn't necessarily social, just well established![]()
This is pretty random, but anyone here from Cape Town around 20-ish years give or take a few and play on EU?
I've been playing wow consistently since the start of pre-bc, but quit about 2 months ago due to having no RL friends to play with in-game, or simply anyone who I can talk to that can relate etc.
I'm looking at returning again in order to prepare for MoP (my main interest in wow is actually the economy, and therefore investments - with currently owning about 2 million gold). So I'm looking for people to network with either in-game via realID, on skype, or perhaps even eventually in real life.
I'm on EU silvermoon with almost all slots maxed at 85, but might consider rerolling in my spare-time to come join you on another server. Also looking for people who might be interested in teaming up to achievement / rep farm, do some casual pvp with, and a few raids.
Anyways - awkward weird, seemingly loner post over haha.

No that site is way out dated.. i e-mailed the owner and he told me he don't have the time anymore and he then asked if i am interested in taking it over, but it needs some new coding for the new Armory structure for wow, it's still running the old Armory structure, i have the website on me as well but it needs new coding.
After playing WoW for 6 years I can say it is best played with friends. Eventually you have a mindset shift and it becomes less about the loot and more about the challenge. Having said that the challenging aspects of WoW have dwindled. Some of the greats were original 4 horsemen, Mu'ru in Sunwell, Hardmode Mimiron etc. I found friends grew tired of trying to motivate guild members to raid and make progress. WoW became more about managing people than enjoying encounters I found.
I also attempted to go it alone and join a hardcore raiding guild which become more like a second job than anything else. Which made it far less fun. Looking back it was a great game and there were many hours of fun, but having close on 300 days played across all my characters I just realised that is almost a full year of hours spent inside 1 game, and when it's all done you have nothing to show for it, you leave with just the memories of past experiences, and if you are lucky some good friends too.
