Yip. Not sure if this is a true representation of SA, but hey, what's done is done. Good luck to those who won.

If you interested in trying out to represent South Africa in the 2013 Nation's Cup, you need to belong to a clan affiliated to the MSSA.

Politics in gaming. Love this country.

@fridgevr, it is not politics, it is the way things are done in South Africa.

You may be interested to note that ALL sport and recreation in South Africa is governed by the Sports and Recreation Act.

This Act (of Parliament) makes the national federations the custodians for their own codes.

Thus eSports fall under Mind Sports South Africa.

This is a good thing for gamers as the MSSA is a non-profit association that is run by its member clubs, so, gamers that are keen on 'putting back' are able to do so.

As a non-profit association, the MSSA is not owned by anyone.

Through such accreditation, gamers can enjoy the following benefits:

    1. Sports bursaries at university,
    2. Accredited provincial colours,
    3. Protea colours, and
    4. The ability to direct the future of eSports gaming.

Hopefully we will see your clan affiliating to the MSSA.

Maybe it would help if you said how this happens? Maybe approach James and mygaming could write an article about it.

For a club to affiliate to the MSSA, it needs to:

    1. Set up its own Constitution, and
    2. Apply for membership

Full documentation can be obtained from [email protected]
