I've never played WoW in my life, but somehow I get mail from them telling me my account password needs to be renewed and load of other crap.

Just gotta laugh when people start using banking scams for online gaming.

Something I read up on yesterday on how some guy caught a spammer. . . Pretty interesting actually.

Im realy tired of spam for one.I got 70 messages about that Whatsapp was going to start costing money, drove me to the point that I just deleted the app for a few days and reinstalled it.People now days are way to quick to post on a chain message without checking its facts first.

    Got this shit as well.

Also got emails saying my Rift and Aion accounts have been hacked etc etc..

Don't even play those games. Used to get a ton of WoW phishing emails as well. But since I don't play anymore, gets deleted.

Funnily enough - Trion's account servers did get hacked a few weeks ago - got an e-mail asking people to log into their accounts and change their details. And then got a couple of days free play-time as a reward; not that I used it

I get more spam than 'regular' mail on a daily basis. Oddly it only started happening after my long lost half sister started mailing me. My mail address is just a random bunch of letters that does not spell anything either which kept me spam free for ages.
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt. Infact, goto your nearest beach and snort some seawater.

Trying working in a company with a few hundred employees.
although threatening to cut off their internet if they keep forwarding chain and junk mail seems to have helped.

I lol'd. Especially using "liberating" instead of "stealing"
