I find this hilarious, the majority of those of you who posted here, are so excluded from the mass of the BF3 community that you cannot comment on how things are being done.
Someone said that there has been no competition in BF3 in SA yet. There may not have been a formal competition (up and until MSSA trials) but many of the top teams have been practising against each other, they have been playing competitively and thus an idea of where teams stand has been formed.
I will not deny that the MSSA trials were short noticed and only had 6 teams in it, but the alternative was that no team would represent SA. So the general community decided to acknowledge the attempts made at organising an event where the teams available could participate.
Its your opinion that they're not the best, good for you. They (FiB) proved on the day that they were the better team, VS some of the top 5 teams, they came out on top. The fact that not all the teams were represented was a failure on your part, you choose not to participate in the community and take it on yourselves to bad mouth the teams who have given time and effort into what they love.
So here is my conclusive statement. To live up to your own delusions of grandeur, I challenge those who think they're better than the community to come out of the bat cave and challenge sG, FiB or ASF. We will welcome the challenge

Cranky, its not about the best team. we are talking best players as a unit here, imagine, the best of ASF, FiB (minus bumslug), BVD, NSD, ARES, SS, KK, the list goes one, Germany have done that, they have the world no1 as their chopper pilot but other dudes from other clans too, the best jet pilot in Germany for instance, NOW thats smart thinking, they then practice as a team and now they are serious contenders. Its should have been best players, not best team

How would you decide on who the best players are? There is no spectator mode, stats cannot justify their selection. Therefore, the decision to put in a team was the one chosen. Given the fact we had 2 days to decide on the "SA team", the mini comp was the only justifiable solution.
if other countries can do it, why can WE not do it?
Whilst i dont know exactly what they did to choose the players, i know for FACT it was not just a clan vs clan thing, there were player trials

WE could not do it, because we had 2 days. For future organisation of the SA team, i agree that a selected team would be best, not a clan. But we are passed that. What's done is done, now the bad mouthing of the entire arrangement can stop.
I dont have a problem with the arrangement, with 2 days i guess its better than nothing, question really is, HOW did we only have two days to get our shit together? Was the BF3 community caught with their pants down?

Something like that. MSSA originally shut the idea down, then the community got involved further and that was the outcome.
They chose them from knowing the community.
If it was left for the team captains of the tp teams from the past im confident no SS or KK members wouldve made it into the squad. You okes are not involved with most of these teams.
The fact taht you hammer on heli and Jets means you have not played a small conquest map.
In the 10 rounds we played not ONE map had a Heli or JET .
@ tookz if you know me you would realize taht im the most modest person around. I was the captain that won rage this year and i got up and told the otehr team how unlucky they were that certain rounds didnt go their way. I top scored in both maps in the final at a 2 KPd and 3KPD that is serious bragging rights yet you wont find me bragging ANYWHERE about it.
Ive constantly done well and shrugged it off as being lucky. I never claimed skill in any of my victories . Ive won lan events raging from dota to UT to Cod and css . Yet i dont claim to be one of the best FPS players in the country . MY Bf 3 stats are better than most of the SS players and yet you dont see me pointing it out. The thing that you can take from that is that im by no means in the same skill range as the FIB ASF and SG ( BVd ) okes . And that should make you realize it.
GO play a small conquest vs FIB SG AND ASF and then come back and brag or admit to being wrong.
