South African team selected for Battlefield 3 Nations Cup tournament

If it was left for the team captains of the tp teams from the past im confident no SS or KK members wouldve made it into the squad. You okes are not involved with most of these teams.

The fact taht you hammer on heli and Jets means you have not played a small conquest map.

In the 10 rounds we played not ONE map had a Heli or JET .


@ tookz if you know me you would realize taht im the most modest person around. I was the captain that won rage this year and i got up and told the otehr team how unlucky they were that certain rounds didnt go their way. I top scored in both maps in the final at a 2 KPd and 3KPD that is serious bragging rights yet you wont find me bragging ANYWHERE about it.

Ive constantly done well and shrugged it off as being lucky. I never claimed skill in any of my victories . Ive won lan events raging from dota to UT to Cod and css . Yet i dont claim to be one of the best FPS players in the country . MY Bf 3 stats are better than most of the SS players and yet you dont see me pointing it out. The thing that you can take from that is that im by no means in the same skill range as the FIB ASF and SG ( BVd ) okes . And that should make you realize it.

GO play a small conquest vs FIB SG AND ASF and then come back and brag or admit to being wrong.

Cranky, where did any1 here say SS, KK is better than the clan you mention? why are you knocking on SS, you say your modest but then you say stuff like i can bet you im better than this and that? you see that's just it, the l33t shit gets to me, it really does, why is everything taken so serious? for f#ck sakes, this is a game, not a god dam Soccer WC final (even thats taken to serious). Did you see any post saying SS > ASF/FiB/BVD, no, we never said that? Who says that, rather leave the talking for the BF and not the forums.....

Just so you know, SS was a COD clan. They only started playing BF now. So there's a lot to learn, and there's a lot of practising going on. Ja, cool, they've been playing BF for years now, but does that mean some "new blood" can't do well? I think that's another reason the competitive gaming scene in SA is so shit. People are not open to anything. They'd rather just stick to the same old meat year in and year out, never giving new teams a chance. That's why you just see the same old shit every year, which is starting to get a little shit now, tbh.

WE could not do it, because we had 2 days. For future organisation of the SA team, i agree that a selected team would be best, not a clan. But we are passed that. What's done is done, now the bad mouthing of the entire arrangement can stop.

Here is the problem, "we"(as per clwn) organise a tourney to state who the best is, but only post it in 1 forum and then decide it will be us few who are part of the discussion that will enter. There is something wrong here chaps....

Maybe there were some teams that also could have played..... And Maybe FIB would have won again, but those who wanted to play could have gotten a chance to do so.....

This will and always has been the downfall of the competitive gaming scene, this has nothing to do with the clan you play in. This has to do with it is only us that will get a chance the more teams the lower our chances.

I do agree that there are a few excellent clans out there but these clans are selfish and keep to themselves without sharing any knowledge or info about the community. I have anthrax for instance on battlelog, did not even hear a word about this.

If you cannot see the point everyone is trying to make chaps then you are blind.... All that I have seen so far is excuses on why it happened so fast not a single, yeah maybe we could have done it a bit different and advertised a bit more, and invited some battlelog peeps to hear if they can make it.

I can guarentee that this is how it will continue if you do not change your way of thinking, are you big enough to do it tho . It is these dbl standards that really kills gaming in SA

Race you are correct in saying that the mini comp was not the most well run event, but what you need to understand is the time frame they were given to work in. No one said it was the best run thing, teams were left out unfortunately, and you are correct in saying that it could have been done better. I did say that in future such an event will be run much better. For the moment we at least have a very good team representing SA as opposed to no one.

The DGL starts in just over 2 weeks. Everyone will be playing everyone and we can see what is what

I almost forgot the friendlies we playe with no vehicles unless the enemy used theirs.think it was 2 clans we played against.

I posted a whole article on here only to find it missing the next morning. I can only assume that my line timed out as it showed perfectely on 4 other forums.

I sat till 4 am getting the roster done and rules and servers and formats. I was doing it mainly on SGS as the clan captains that frequent there is from over 20 BF 3 teams.

Another forum i psoted it on deleted my post and marked it as " No advertising"


So see my point. I never said SS couldnt do well . I read that some 1 said SS will beat any of those teams. that was my whole thread about SS are not better than FIB.

New blood can win .. that has been proven but its unlikely if you dont practice versus them.


Cod 4 ( the only game i can really say i know in and out and yes I know it is not BF 3 )

in 2008 - Borg Cyborgs won rage as a team that was beleived to not even qualify for rage, Was in the group of death with 3 prem teams and still made it through and had to beat the 2nd and 1st ranked team to win rage and did it without fail,


in 2010 BFB Mutards ( Bfb`s 2nd team ) made it to the final at rage afer they were ranked 11th.

It can happen but like i said only if you play proper teams.

All the teams are already playing clannies against each other for practise, so I don't know where that argument comes from, you saying we're not even involved in the BF3 community. Hahaha....my word dude.

@ Cranky, dude you are missing the point this is not about SS, we enjoy our gaming whether we play comps or not Most of us are very OLD wiith lots of kids and nagging Wives, we have fun, the point was to just make people aware that the attitudes needs to change, not whether Cranky is a better player than R4C3, but that Cranky will invite R4C3 next time if it happens and let him decide whether he wants to play or not, Do you at least understand what I am trying to say?
