Rate the last Anime or Manga

Similiar to the MyGaming Anime Thread, except we can give a long or short review of what we currently watched or read and share with everyone else

Rosaria+Vampire (Manga)

Your average Harem series of manga. Basically starts out with Aono Tsukune not being able to complete the High School entrance exam. Luckily or unluckily his father picks up a mysterious package dropped off @ the door.

He gets sent to Yokai Academy, which is a school for monsters, vampires, werewolves, succubus, ghouls and the like.

Grab line obviously is the overly cute Moka which has a mysterious Rosery around her neck, which halts her to completely turn into her true monster form. Complete with her 'magic transformation' sequence

Haven't watched the Anime yet so can't rate it yet

lol.... That Anime looked pretty regular in the episodes nothing special except for the supernatural add on

If you really enjoyed the manga, my advice would be to avoid the anime. It's not bad - but its been turned into a rather fluffy romantic comedy - none of the darker overtones of the manga.

Righto - so here's my quickie review.

Macross Frontier

For those of you who remember Robotech - Macross was where it all started. Robotech was the version adapted by HarmonyGold for Western audiences, which is as much as I'm going to say about that.

Macross Frontier latest installment in the Macross saga - and takes place on the Macross Frontier colony convoy, which has been traveling towards the center of the Galaxy in search of a planet to colonise.

The fleet gets attacked by a new alien threat, called the Vajra, and it is here that our main character, Saotome Alto, takes control of a Valkyrie fighter, and rescues young Ranka Lee in a manner very reminiscent of Lynn Minmei's rescue in the original series. Do we see a possible match in the works?

Macross wouldn't be complete without a love-triangle though, and this is provided by the arrival of galactic starlet and pop-idol, Sheryl Nome, who takes an immediate interest in Alto.

Similar to other Macross series, music takes a very central role to the storyline - in the same way that Minmei's voice bewitched the Zentradi, it appears that young Ranka's voice has a similar effect on the Vajra, reason's for which will become apparent later.

Because of this, Macross Frontier has an awesome soundtrack - the music was a definitely highlight of the series for me. The story isn't too bad either, and you'll find frequent references to Minmei throughout (she's considered a legend), there's lots of singing and fighting, and a fair bit of romance and intrigue.

I'm not going to say the animation's top-notch, but it doesn't provide me anything to complain about either.

My score (although I hate scoring anime ) - 83%

(You can watch it on it's own, but it helps to know a bit of the history of the series)

I have finished watching Saiunkoku Monogatari and I give it a 9 coz it doesnt make me feel bored although it is about historical genre
