I'll continue to use Steam because I love the games that Valve has developed and because there's some interesting indie games once in a while. No other reason.
    'ello, D

Ever played World of Goo? Totally the next indie game I get, and yes, it'll be through Steam.

What separates the likes of you and I from other people, is that you and I want things |NOW. If we want to play a game we own, we want to play it with a sense of immediacy, rather than waiting a few hours (or until tomorrow ) to play it. Some people aren't bugged by that. We, we're suckers for convenience.

Uncapped or not, hypothetical l33t speeds or not, I prefer having the ability to run my games in the time it takes to plop in a disc and install. This also takes out the other variables ranging from server downtime, client "hiccups" and, best of all, I get a physical box and manual to peruse at my leisure

*shrug* Ah well, fortunately you and I aren't a dying breed just yet.

    Yeah... troll alert.

Look. First off I support bnet. It's a system that worked. Like the xbots supports their Live!, I support bnet.

Then to the question of whether or not Blizzard milks their franchises for money hahahaha evol. Errr well ofc course they do. They have too. If I work for a company, I'd like maximum profits too. Capitalism vs Socialism. How many awesome gaming companies and awesome gaming franchises have gone bust over the past decade? Too many to count. Why is Blizzard still here? Ummm well they make great games then they milk 'em. They turn profits. And if the profit can be made bigger, they do it. Simple formula for success really.

Now I know what you're all going to say. You're going to say that Blizzard are the EA of the 90's. They don't care about the quality of the product. They just want $$$. Fortuantely for us Blizzard has yet too release a game for $$$ purposes only. Didn't they delay WoW BC for a xmas release date to a boring January release date because "teh game is not ready"? Didn't they do the same with SC2? I'm sorry I don't see Blizzard pushing yearly titles "just because it's the xmas rush."

Then about the DRM. I can understand why this is a issue to some people. Sort off. But not really. I've bought and played dozens off DRM games. Even the evil SercuRom ones. Still I didn't see the issues. Buy game, Install game, Auth game, Play game. What's the problem?

Then I'm going to sign off with my first point. SC is a multiplayer game. The single player is a bonus. I fully support bnet. SC2 needs to be built around bnet. They need money to support the game and maintain the servers, they need to turn profits like any other company has too in this day and age... especially with the xbox and ps3 taking all the honours... or do you what the servers overrun by Koreans in 3 years time?

I'm telling you now, with the slow release rate Blizzard has, they will not make it for long in today's gaming scene with xboxes, wii's and PS3's without maximising profits.

Bring on SC2, bring on Bnet. If it's any good... I'll pay for it. And if it's awesome, the blizz exec's can have their Ferrari's. I don't care.
