A little birdy just told me that the PS3 120GB (and apparently also the slim) will be R3799.95 and PS3 250GB will be R 4499.95.

Also the Xbox 360 pro console is now discontinued and there will only be the arcade and the elite. The elite will be available early Sept at about R3499.95. A super elite with a 250GB HDD will follow somewhere in Oct that will retail at about R4699.95.

Actually the pricing is more inline with what the UK and EU guys are paying.
Seems the US is the cheapest, comes as no surprise since Sony needs to grow its install base over there and also they love delaying the UK and EU stuff / charging a bit more. Makes no sense but then again thats their warped strategy.
