My mates and I were discussing this the other day.

What it comes down to is that for us, yes it is expensive. If you compare the minimum wage over in the UK compared to ours, on one hours salary in the UK you can buy a game/dvd/music cd.

Over here, you can't even buy bread..

    Um. What?

    From the UK government website:

    * £5.73 per hour for workers aged 22 years and older
    * A development rate of £4.77 per hour for workers aged 18-21 inclusive
    * £3.53 per hour for all workers under the age of 18, who are no longer of compulsory school age
A new game costs £39. A new CD/DVD costs around £14. So no. Definitely not.

Ok ok. Maybe not one hours work then. Let's say 3 hours worth of work then. You can buy a music CD in the UK, in SA you can't. That was my point.
