I don't think anyone will complain that publishers are putting their games up on Origin, having more choice is always better, the problem is forcing Origin. Especially when none of the games being forced on their actually use Origin for anything important.

They say they are up to 35 publishers but I don't recall seeing anything besides EA games on the SA Origin store?

I don't see why anyone would complain about EA adding publishers to their catalog. It's not like we HAVE to buy those games on Origin.

I'm a bit surprised at Total War going to Origin though, considering the last few Total War games have been Steam exclusives.

Remember, when Steam was still in it's infancy, it was also HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE. It took many years to be the stable and dependant platform it is today. Even though I myself do not like Origin, especially the technical bits in the EULA of them having access to my HDD contents, I am sure it will also be a respectable, stable and decent platform in the near future.

Now where is my free game Origin, see how nice I was?

With time valve tweaked and improved and gained more games and now it is what it is. So should we not give Origin the same benefit of finding its feet?
    Yep I agree.

Steam was forced on us with Half-Life 2 iirc, I have nothing wrong with Origin as a distribution platform, the more publishers the better.
I was actually thinking they could go so far as to make Origin web-based much like how the browser is integrated into BF3.
Then there would be no need for further applications installed to your PC such as Origin.
