Man if I have I do decide to play again I will be working from nothing considering I deleted all my characters. I guess it is also a good thing having a fresh start, and I have done so before on both US and EU servers.
Closer to the time I will think about trying this out again, maybe this time I can avoid the 'endgame community madness' which so irks me in this game. Need to find a truly friendly raiding guild that do not take itself too serious, but also wants progress. I found it was hard to get that kind of balance.
I just got so sick of being a good player trying to learn a raid encounter in being new to a guild, and they had no patience for a person trying to learn or ask questions. They always seemed to expect you to know answers to questions you had not even considered. Or your timing was meant to be 100% spot on in the first attempt... Also the guild politics. I don't know how many times I encountered loot problems, nepotistic actions, and just pure abuse from the people in power.
On a side note - I always watched and read strategies on any new raid boss I encountered, but it was always a matter of actually doing it a few times before you really understood it.
There's a part 2 and 3 on mmo-champion btw :P
If you want to talk ripoff the entire wrath of the lich king expansion is lord of the rings. I mean come on, the first quest in ice crown is to kill an eye that is on top of a tower. You have the wrathgate quests.... Very Mordor like.Originally Posted by Necuno

A lil off topic but il give it a try.
A friend of mine recomended WoW to me a few months ago, so i started doing some research and landed up playing on a private server to test things out and i became hooked!I have decided to move onto retail, but i currently only have up to BC installed.
I was wondering if anyone in Cape Town area could make a copy of Wotlk-US for me, i dont see any harm being done as i will be paying subscribtion costs.
