Yeah that should be fine. What I did in the past with US versions was download a copy then just buy the CD Key from a store in Canada.

Sorry I can't help you though, quit US WoW after TBC came out.

Also, do not worry too much about getting WotLK NOW, unless you plan to use some of the features it has access to early on like say Inscriptions, or DK's or the like. It will take you quite a while (depending on how much you play), to get to WotLK only content.

Well DK's are the reason i want to leave private servers, their quests look so darn cool and i dont want to spoil them by playing on a buggy server.

I would also like to play EU, but i already have the US version and i dont want to download the games and all those patchs all over again.

I, unfortunately, only have the EU version installed and updated. Note, however, that you can download the large majority of patches locally if you have a local account you can use. Check the "Local MMO downloads" thread for the links.

Also reconsider the DK, specifically as a main. If it is anything like when I was last playing DK's are well overplayed, and also there is community bias against them in general (not 100% sure if it is still like this - Lydon can you confirm?).

Yep, it's still pretty much the same.

Don't go DK as main.

P.S. - Anyone think it's funny that World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and Guild Wars 2's lore is almost exactly the same? (a world ripped apart and completely changed by earthquakes as a result of an awakening dragon xD)
