Given that this is in essence the same game that can be purchased cheaply on GoG or GG, minus the NEW! IMPROVED! SPARKLY! graphics, what reasons will the developers be giving us for forking out our money for what amounts to the same story with a fresh coat of paint? Just wondering.

That may be true but its going to support widescreen res and iron out most of the bugs.

Have you not heard of all the HD remakes that have been making the rounds and selling like hotcakes? Nothing wrong with good/great games getting a facelift.

Depending on how good the graphics improvements are, I might give it a go. I never played the original, and even though I heard a lot about it, I couldn't get myself to buy such an old game. I tried buying an old game like that with SW:KOTOR and I find it hard to stay motivated enough to play it.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.

I guess that's a question you'll have to answer for yourself, no one's forcing you to buy it?
