Enter the Matrix - Tied in very nicely with the Second Movie, a flawed game mechanics wise but brilliant as a narrative tie-in.

The Matrix: Path of Neo - Followed the evolution of The One and while it retread some narrative content from the films it had one of the best combat systems of any game of its time. Right in the beginning the player is given the choice of the red or blue pill and should the player choose blue the end credits rolled. AWESOME little touch.

The Matrix Online - Was an ill fated early MMORPG which ran from 05 to 09. Having never played it I can't comment of it.

I think a mini series set in the Tamriel, Skyrim setting should be epic.

Played this game, was pretty good, but I'd still like to see a Matrix game with Batman AA's fighting system and something similar to Detective vision but with green numbers like Neo sees the Matrix

I say don't make games from movies or TV series, most of the time they turn out pretty crap. And vice versa, just look at the DOOM movie :P

I say HIT THE BOOKS! There are so many epic tales hidden in books, millions of them that can make for potential block buster games. Hell, The Witcher was based off a series of books by a Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski.

There are alot of great fantasy & sci-fi books that can make for great games. Game of Thrones come's to mind but as for the game... well if it saw a budget as large as the TV Series perhaps they would be onto something.

    Just my 2c

Invasion type scifi's could work, but it's possible they may fail since it's kinda Half-Life territory

District 9 as a game could work. Watching it felt very game like in itself. Cloverfield maybe.....maybe not.

Also, a lot of stories that sucked in movie form, may do better in game format where it could be fleshed out better. Skyline and Darkest Hour kinda sucked as movies. The concepts were kinda cool, but wasn't brought across well enoguh. 90% of Skyline was like "er...get to the point already...is this a sci fi or bad-line contest", and then in the last 10 minute's I was like "WTH didn't they do this 60min's ago. Darkest hour was so haphazardly done, at the end you were like, "huh what...is that it?". Characters seemed.....empty, in the movie.

Seconded for books been made into games

Also, old school cartoons could also be looked into, though not sure what genre they should be made into.

Bravestart, He-man/She-ra, Dino Riders, Bionic Six, Centurions, Thundercats, Sabre Riders, Galaxy Rangers to name a few

    Usually, I'd say NONE.

However, after reading through this thread, I'd be game for the Matrix using the Batman AA mechanics.

Other than that, I've seen some movies based on games... wasn't impressed. Games based on movies always sucked.
I liked the Hitman movie... saw it back before I started gaming... then I saw the movie, bought the games, started playing pc games and building a collection.
On the other hand, I've also played the one James Bond game (can't remember the name now... the latest one) and it was actually quite fun... probably because it wasn't based on an existing movie so you didn't know what was coming the whole time.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.

Right? I think alot of people would be.

Does anyone know where I can email Rocksteady/Warner Bros Interactive (They worked together with Batman, I think The Matrix can happen)
