Help DuncanBell buy an Xbox :D.

Hey all.

Ok I have decided to buy an Xbox.

My dilemma is i'm not sure what the difference is between all the models.

Honestly I dont need a harddrive on my Xbox, I'm basically going to use it for casual gaming, and from what i've seen, even with the harddrive in the Xbox, the loading times for games doesn't seem like a very big difference!

What also worried me, is in the description for the Xbox Elite, it says something about a better processor.

So please convince me and/or give me a valid reason why to buy an Xbox Pro or Elite, instead of a Arcade

I'm with Caboose, wait until the Elite come down and the Pro is removed.

I would avoid the arcade if you are interested in downloading XBLA games and demos.

It'll be dumb to buy one now. Wait till the Pro drops away and the Elite drops in price. Best way to go now.

Chaps, he already has his heart set on an Arcade ..... he's asking for reasons to show that an Elite or Pro is better than the Arcade at all ... or he's just gonna go ahead and get the Arcade

+1 best bet is to wait for the time being, the 60gig pro might seem tempting now after the price drop, but it will prolly lose value quicly once the sku gets discontinued

I dont know much about the Xbox's. So what i'm asking is that what are the major diffferences between the models? Aside from a bigger hard-drive?

The only reason i'm saying arcade is because I dont see why I need anything more?

Elite : Its Black 120 Gig HD Wireless controls + HDMI support

Pro + Arcarde : Its white 60 Gig Hd (PRO) no hd (arcade) wireless control (pro) wired control (arcade) no HDMI support

Oh yeah and you wont be able to download squat with the Arcade.

And correct me if im wrong guys never seen an arcade in my life ....

Difference is HDD's ............ if you don't want or need a HDD for Live!, then an Arcade will suit you fine

The Arcade has HDMI Caboose and wireless controllers too
