    Default Mouse Under R450

Hey what's up guys. Can you guys recommend me a mouse that's under R450. DPI must be in the 3000's. Any brand will do as long as it's good. Will be using it mostly for Cod4 and BF3.

    Cheers

Not sure which ones for that price is really good (I have a Razer Mamba myself) but I'm sure you can get a good idea regarding prices here:

Here are two options, the Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Black Laser 4000 DPI Gaming Mouse @R387 and the Razer Abyssus Gaming Mouse @R361

I was actually lucky enough to get a Microsoft X8 Wireless gaming mouse from them for R349 last month, but they don't seem to have it any more.

Whatever you do, just don't get a Microsoft mouse. Don't know about the newer models, but I picked up a Sidewinder X3 for about R350, and it's horrible.

The R.A.T. series is apparently very good mice, though. I saw Matrix Warehouse selling the R.A.T. 5(I think it was the 5) for R500 a while back. It's a bit over your budget, but if it's as good as people are claiming, it might be worth looking into.

LOL yeah, I dunno about the X3, but my X8 is brilliant! It replaced my very light Razor Diamondback and after getting used to the weight I couldn't go back.

Also the battery life it crazy, it lasted over 3 weeks on it's first charge.

I would really love to know why you need a mouse with 3000 DPI, I have an MX518 (1800dpi) and 99% of the time I only use it on medium (900dpi) setting. 3000dpi works out to 18.75 dots per millimeter. There is just no way your movement is that precise.

DPI seems to be the contrast ratio of the mouse industry. A better metric to use would probably be IPS (inches per second).

The answer is obvious. Roccat Kova(+) all the way.
Multicolour lights, changeable dpi on the go, hassle free installation, long tangle free cable, amazingly comfortable, ambi dexterous and I have one well the normal kova... so it must be great.
contact me if you are in Cape Town and looking for PC Hardware at very competitive pricing. We also do web and graphic design.

Still very envious. Wish I had 1 too.

My Logitech will suffice for now. It's my baby anyway...
