    Question Xbox picture quality

I just bought my Xbox and have connected it to my TV and I must say that the picture quality is not as good as I expected. It is a standard Sony Vega TV, not a LCD. The colours seem a little washed out and the graphics are not very sharp.

I was wondering if I should maybe buy a VGA cable and play off one of my 23 inch LCD's? Would I see a huge difference in quality?

    Any advice?

    Thanks

    short answer: Yes.

    Long answer: Hell yes!

On the HDMI cable there's also a normal/HDMI switch to select between the screens you're hooking it up to.

I think the PRO and upwards have hdmi, but some say the arcade doesn't. I don't know enough to comment on it.

It shouldn't look that terrible ... check your refresh rate (?) in the dashboard settings.

Ugh, the picture on an SDTV will be pretty gross. You're much, much better off getting the VGA cable and running through your monitor.

You've gone and confuzzled the HD and HDMI cables. The HD component cable has the switch; an HDMI cable, which looks kinda like a USB cable with a slightly bigger connector, doesn't.

All models can use the component cable. Most newer models, including the Arcade, have HDMI support too.

Azi , you're right - I did confuse the two.

I got the HD one on my sexbox and the HDMI on my pc -> lcd monitor.
