Counter-Strike: GO Beta local server problems

So I've been one of the privileged locals that got access to the CS:GO beta, and was overjoyed to hear that MWEB and WAGE both had local servers running. However, on trying to access said servers in-game, some strange problem started jumping in... Joining the server results in the joining dialog VERY briefly appearing and then the game resets to main menu. It only happens with local servers; I can join overseas servers very easily and with no problems whatsoever.

Anybody got any idea what's going on?

Hi, it's a known issue. Even though no message is displayed upon joining a local server, your client is actually connecting. If you press tilde (which opens console) you'll see it's attempting to reconnect. I'll be having a look at the WAGE CS:GO servers shortly, perhaps there is another way around this.

Try connecting to a server, but allow your client at least 30 seconds to initiate the connection.
