World of Warcraft: Player Housing
I for one think this would an AWESOME addition to the game. The idea of owning a house on an MMO has always appealed to me, but the major arguement I run into is, "Why don't you just play The Sims?" If you ask me that's a lame copout arguement that tries to shame (men don't play The Sims...period) a person into submitting.
If you ask me, there's no difference between owning an awesome house or owning awesome armor, in the end it's another way for a player to show off their achievements. You like to look good, so why not have a place to make lood good too.
In practical terms, player housing will provide another sinkhole for the economy and the idea of repairing and maintaining a house is very appealing since it's like rent or something.
A guild house for all members of a guild would also be a great alternative to player housing if that's too "girly" for some players. Sure, shacking up with a bunch of dudes is less "girly" than living in solitary loneliness.
If I can get a comfy recliner then I am back to WoW in a flash!
Mebe If you could mount trophies of animals you had slain in your house, that would be nice![]()
I'd buy wow, just so I can have a Death-Knight Sorcerror Wizzard that can sit down and play COD in his house.
I'd restart my wow subbies so I can log in and teabag Mappy's DK-sorcerror Wizard in his house while he's playing COD.![]()
The nice thing about player housing in LOTRO is more and shared storage space between chars ... don't have one yet though![]()
