Remember remember the 31st of December
Death and Diablo's evil plot
I see no reason why Diablo and his minions
Should ever be forgot

The old town of Tristram, where children use to laugh and people use to smile. What's left of old Tristram is now forgotten. The people there are now empty shells, haunted by the undead minions of an ancient evil. Warriors all over the world, rogues from all enclaves and sorcerers from every clan joined together to combat the evil lurking under Tristram. Trying to stop the tide of evil bubbling out into our world.

The only child left in the town of Tristram was me, inspired by all these heroes. Ready to take the fight to Diablo. I remember spending nights and weekends glued to the old Pentium 1 (when my brother wasn't playing) playing this "action-rpg".



Until this day this game sticks with me, although it is a shameful story of me losing my brother's ultimate Diablo save games and getting an ear full from him.

All of use awaiting the release of Diablo 3 should remember or at least try to remember the game that started the series. Even if it is just the rattling bones of King Leoric or the Butcher and his poor victims.



The ambient music in this game still creeps the hell out of me.

Nice post! Fond memories, or rather annoying ones, was that you had to walk everywhere in this game! I think it added to the suspense And yes the music is down right creepy.

Yeah took forever to get anywhere, town portal did help though. Pity the guy is using the stairs glitch to kill the Butcher.

Never knew about these hidden easter eggs.

1. At the startup splash screen, hit "Print Screen" on your keyboard.
2. Go to paint and hit Ctrl+V (Paste).
3. Around Diablo's head fill in parts with blue paint.
4. Zoom in to see hidden words.
