    Default Worms - the original

Four pages of threads, and not a single mention of the original Worms? I am MOST disappoint.

I remember whiling away many an hour trying to kill those damnible opposing Worms. There was something absurdly satisfying about launching a rocket and watching the enemy (or enemies) either fly off into the water or die an explosive death. I also remember "lanning" the game - invite mates over for an afternoon of Worm (and terrain) destruction!

To remind you all of the awesomeness:

Also, if you DON'T remember (shame on you, etc.), here is the link to the now-free game:

I don't think I played the original, but I played some later beta-ish version. Man, this game was the sh!t. I played it for hours on end and I never got bored

The original and Worms II are the best ones. Not for the gameplay, but for the opening cinematics.
The version available on games4win is a "Rip", which means the cinematics have been removed.

I remember playing this.. OMW! It was a cap load of fun. So many ways to kill worms XD.

My sister and I played the 3D PC Demo version some many years ago. Stayed up till early morning playing it... Such fun and fond memories.
