Firstly sueing someone with patents you don't actually have yet, lol, secondly, this...

Zynga has asked for damages of three times the profit that Kobojo earns from PyramidVille. Kobojo could not be immediately reached for comment.
It's amazing what kind of messed up legal system that you can even consider claiming three times more money than a company has ever made JUST because their name is wrong.

Please can we burn IP laws already.

    Lmfao xD

I see the creators of "The Powerpuff girls" suing them as I am pretty sure "Townsville" (The town where the powerpuff girls live) came before Farmville.

    The logic of some people..lol

    -ville

a combining form extracted from place names ending in -ville, used in the coinage of informal nonce words, usually pejorative, that characterize a place, person, group, or situation ( dullsville; disasterville; Mediaville ) or that name a condition ( embarrassmentville; gloomsville ).
You know what the funny part is?

    Origin:
ultimately < French ville city; see bidonville

So Zygna just sued a French company for using a word of French origin.

I doubt they will win, you cant register a trademark on Ville, cause that would mean no one could write the word ville without being sued to hell and back. That can only trademark the games they make with the ville suffix attached so the company that made pyramidville is safe cause Zygna didnt have register copyright or trademarks on that name.

Thats if i remember my copyright law correctly. (did it for a few months)
